Our Plans by Year

2012-2013 Eclectic
Our first attempt at homeschooling our oldest who was entering first grade. We ended up enrolling her back in school because I went back to work. We didn't attempt homeschooling again till her 4th grade year.

2015-2016 Charlotte Mason INFLUENCED 1st and 4th
We used a lot of different resources when we first started homeschooling. I was just getting my feet wet and was totally overwhelmed with all the choices. We dabbled with Ambleside Online, Simply Charlotte Mason, TruthQuest History...

I really loved the idea of CM and continued to use those same resources in planning our school year. I continued looking for a way to keep it all organized and even tried scheduling in my bullet journal! At this point, I was beginning to realize I'm a bit of curriculum junkie and that I really love buying books! Went through lots of changes but still managed to make it through the school year.
The year I met A Delectable Education and Soiree. In the beginning it was fast and furious. Learned A LOT about implementing CM, had a consult with ADE and they planned our year, and I created our planner to keep it all organized.

Continued with what I learned from our previous year's ADE consult. By the end of the year I was finding learning gaps that resulted from my own steep learning curve in implementing a "true" CM education. Tiring of feeling guilty ALL the time for not following the "rules" of a CM education. (I know there aren't "rules" but its just how my brain works.)

2019-2020 Eclectic with a splash of CM 5th & 8th grade plans
Life necessitated some changes and it has turned out to be the best year yet! We have streamlined without losing the depth and breadth of our journey. We will keep you updated!

2020-2021 Literature Rich & Eclectic 6th & 9th grade plans
This will be our 6th year home educating our children. The pandemic really derailed us. We are still catching up on work but are looking forward to next year for sure!

Our 7th year homeschooling and still trying to get it right, LoL. We just go with it now.

8 years!! This was a tough one with unexpected family issues but we made it through.

2023-2024 Eclectic High Schoolers 9th & 12th!
9th years flew by! Our oldest graduates as our youngest enters high school.
